The drugs are classified into four schedules according to their potentials of addiction, abuse, and harm to society

1. Narcotic Drugs (3 categories)

2. Psychotropic Agents (4 schedules)

4. Precursor chemicals(2 categories)

Examples

1. Schedule I: heroin, morphine, cocaine, opium

2. Schedule II: amphetamine, cannabis, methamphetamine, MDMA, methadone

3. Schedule III: flunitrazepam, ketamine

4. Schedule IV: lorazepam、zolpidem

1. Narcotic Drugs:

(1) I (natural narcotic): opium

(2) II (alkaloid):morphine, heroin, cocaine

(3) III (synthetic chemical): methadone

2. Psychotropic:

(1) I:methamphetamine

(2) II: ketamine, amphetamine

(3) III: Thiopental

(4) IV: Propofol
